Yankees Getting Old...And a Lot of Other Things
With old age comes a lot of injuries, at least according to this year's New York Yankees team. Granderson is done for a few months with a broken forearm. Phil Hughes has a bulging disk in his back. Pineda is still nowhere to be found. Tex is hurting his forearm swinging off a tee...Which I still would love to know how that actually happened. We have two of the oldest starting pitchers in the Major Leagues in Pettite and Kuroda. Sure they have been productive but I'm sure sooner or later that old age will catch up to them. Rivera is coming off an ACL tear. CC is coming off elbow surgery. A-Rod is done for God only knows how long with another hip injury (But honestly I don't care). Jeter is coming off a broken ankle, but I know the Captain won't disappoint...I hope. Ichiro is old, Gardner didn't play for a lot of last season so you can bet he is rusty. Hafner and Youk who were our "big signings" in the offseason on the opposite side of their prime. And our Catching situation is between Cervelli, Stewart and Romine. I pray to God Romine gets called up during the season and changing things around. But yeah there are a whole ton of question marks leading up to this season but some some reason Robinson Cano just makes me feel like with his production we will have a productive year. And for some other reason the Yankees just never seem to really worry me because well they have 27 World Championships. Believe me I am not very confident about this year but it will be interesting how all of these storylines play out during the season. Leave your thoughts on how you think the Yanks will end up this year.
