I recently caught up with rising artist Perk Banks, as he is almost ready to release his debut project "The Train Effect" next month, during a photoshoot and asked a few questions about both his music and his life outside of it. Nothing but laughs and great vibes coming from this gentleman so you can imagine we had a great time going back and forth.

"How would you describe yourself as an artist in one word?"

Perk: "Contumacious"

"What actually is "The Train Effect" and where did the inspiration come from?"

Perk: "To me; "The Train Effect" has various meanings. One is basically pushing through all of the objectives, no matter how difficult, to reach your self fulfillment which will never happen but it is a great way to think in terms of me. It is also bringing everyone who has went through the ups & downs with you along for the better days ahead. I want to inspire others; turn their "Fantasy into Reality" by giving them a journey to take a ride on. I want to be their motivation that they don't have around them."

"That's actually really clever. I can't wait to hear what you have on there for us. I really liked that "Catalyst" song with Shane O' you released! What are your favorite songs that are going to be on the project?"

Perk: "Thanks man! But I don't actually have a personal favorite. They all tackle a different mood I can be in at the time."

"Outside of music, what are your other loves and passions?"

Perk: "As far as my hobbies go, I'm really into creating scripts for "mini movies" and then making them come to life. I have been taking some acting classes recently too. Then there's modeling and hosting shows, which grew naturally on me."

"What are your next moves onces the project is done and released?"

Perk: "My next move is to keep pushing forward... It never stops if you don't stop. I plan on doing plenty of more shows. More visuals as well. Just stay grindin'!"
