Nets Going For Hawk's Smith
Reported by ESPN, the Brooklyn Nets are going hard after Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks. Right now they are just "in-talks", but hopefully this could lead to something serious. Smith would most likely come in and fill in their PF role as that is the weak spot on this team. Reggie Evans in currently the starting PF and has shown a lot of nothing lately. Smith is electrifying and plays both sides of the ball and is extremely athletic for his size. Smith has had All-Star seasons before but not this year. There has also been reports of a Ben Gordon trade which is still possible but supposedly the Nets have Smith as their top priority. The rumored trade right now would send Kris Humphries and MarShon Brooks to Atlanta for Smith and also possibly former Net Anthony Morrow. There are so many different scenarios of how this could play out, with one being involving a third team in the deal. I think this move would be great for the Nets although Brooks leaving would certainly hurt their guard rotation. But with a starting lineup of Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Geralrd Wallace, Josh Smith and Brook Lopez...how can they resist? Nets fans leave your thought on all of these trade rumors!!
