Jamarcus Russell? Really?

So there are rumors going around stating that the New York Jets, my favorite team, is "talking" and/or "considering" signing former 1st overall pick Jamarcus Russell to their squad. Why must the Jets always go for the former busts I don't understand it. There is zero logic behind this move because this guy proved he cannot play in the league. Over the course of 3 years, Russell accumulated only 4,083 passing yard, which is an average season these days, 18 TD's, 23 INT's, and a dismal 52.1% completion percentage. In addition, he had 25 fumbles, yes 25. That is atrocious, I mean I'm not saying I could do better, but I could do better than that. Not only can he not play but he is completely out of shape with his most recent weigh in putting him at 6'6 and 308 pounds. In other words this is an NFL Lineman trying to play quarterback. Last but not least he has his share of legal troubles, specifically in 2010 when he was investigated and then charged on Codeine Syrup charges, other wise known as "lean". He possessed and used it without a prescription which is obviously illegal. What I'm trying to say is this would be an awful move for the Jets in every aspect of the game. There is no reason Jamarcus should be on an NFL team, especially my favorite team because I don't want to put up with it. We already have too many cancers in the locker room and adding another one would just add fuel to the fire. All Jets fans leave your comments below on your take of this rumor and if you think it would be a good or bad idea.
